Navigating the logistics of group travel in the UAE requires a partner who offers more than just a vehicle; you need reliability, safety, and, most importantly, transparent pricing. Whether you are planning a corporate event in Dubai, a school trip in Sharjah, or a weekend getaway to the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah, understanding the current market rates is essential. Star Bus Rental guide provides an up-to-date breakdown of bus rental rates across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain, ensuring you get the best value for your journey.

Note: Rates typically include a professional driver, fuel, and basic insurance. Salik (toll) charges and parking fees are usually billed separately based on actual usage.
Services Across the Northern Emirates
While Dubai remains the central hub, our services extend seamlessly across the Northern Emirates with localized expertise:
Sharjah & Ajman: Ideal for daily staff transport and school runs. Rates are often more competitive for long-term monthly contracts.
Ras Al Khaimah & Fujairah: Specializing in tourism and event logistics. We offer “Mountain-Ready” coaches equipped for the terrain of Jebel Jais and the East Coast.
Umm Al Quwain: Efficient point-to-point transfers for industrial and construction sectors.
Factors Influencing Your Quote
Duration: Daily rates are based on a standard 10-hour window. Overtime is generally charged at AED 80–150 per hour depending on the bus size.
Seasonality: During peak tourism months (October to March), it is advisable to book at least 2 weeks in advance to lock in lower rates.
Route Complexity: Multi-stop itineraries or cross-border travel (e.g., Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah) may incur slightly higher fuel surcharges.
2026 Van Rental Rates: City-by-City Breakdown
The following rates apply to standard 10-15 Seater Vans (Toyota Hiace) inclusive of a professional driver and fuel.
| Emirate | Daily Rate (10 Hours) | One-Way Transfer | Monthly (Staff Transport) |
| Dubai | AED 750 – 950 | AED 350 – 500 | AED 8,500 – 11,500 |
| Sharjah | AED 650 – 850 | AED 300 – 450 | AED 7,500 – 9,500 |
| Ajman | AED 600 – 800 | AED 300 – 400 | AED 7,000 – 9,000 |
| Fujairah | AED 850 – 1,100 | AED 550 – 700 | AED 9,500 – 12,500 |
| Ras Al Khaimah | AED 800 – 1,000 | AED 500 – 650 | AED 9,000 – 11,000 |
| Umm Al Quwain | AED 650 – 850 | AED 350 – 500 | AED 7,500 – 10,000 |
Why Rates Vary Across Emirates
Dubai & Fujairah: Often have higher rates due to higher operational costs, longer travel distances (especially for Fujairah’s mountain routes), and peak tourism demand.
Sharjah & Ajman: These are the most competitive markets. Prices here are often lower due to a high density of transport providers and frequent inter-city commuting.
RAK & UAQ: Rates are generally stable but may include small surcharges if the vehicle needs to be dispatched from a central hub in Sharjah or Dubai.

| Sharjah | AED 800 – 1,000 | AED 550 – 700 | AED 8,500 – 11,000 |

| Umm Al Quwain | AED 800 – 1,050 | AED 600 – 750 | AED 8,500 – 11,500 |
2. Full-Size Luxury Coach (50-53 Seater)
Best for corporate events, large weddings, and inter-emirate tours.
| City | Daily (10 Hours) | Inter-City (One-Way) | Monthly (Staff) |
| Dubai | AED 1,200 – 1,600 | AED 950 – 1,300 | AED 18,000 – 24,000 |
| Sharjah | AED 1,100 – 1,500 | AED 900 – 1,200 | AED 17,000 – 22,000 |

| Ras Al Khaimah | AED 1,400 – 1,800 | AED 1,300 – 1,700 | AED 18,500 – 24,000 |
| Umm Al Quwain | AED 1,200 – 1,550 | AED 1,100 – 1,400 | AED 17,500 – 23,000 |
Why These Variations Exist in 2026
Northern Emirates Surcharge: Cities like Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah often see slightly higher rates because vehicles usually travel from major depots in Dubai or Sharjah to reach the pickup point.
The “Sharjah-Dubai” Corridor: This is the most popular route. Because of high competition, one-way transfers between these two cities are often cheaper than transfers within the more remote Emirates.
Monthly Contracts: Note that monthly rates for Ajman and Sharjah are significantly lower than Dubai due to the concentration of labor and staff housing in these areas.

Understanding the Small Differences
Luggage vs. Passengers: While a 14-seater can hold more people, a 12-seater is often preferred for airport transfers because the extra space allows for more comfortable luggage stacking.
High Roof vs. Standard Roof: Always specify if you need a High Roof (HR) model. HR models are slightly more expensive (approx. AED 50 extra per day) but allow passengers to stand up inside the van.
The “Sharjah Surcharge”: For 13 and 14-seaters, transfers between Sharjah and Dubai often incur a small “inter-city” fee of AED 50–100 due to traffic and Salik.
Why Choose a 14-Seater Specifically?
Legal Compliance: It fits the maximum capacity allowed for a standard light-bus license in some jurisdictions, making it easier for companies to source drivers.
Staff Efficiency: Perfect for picking up exactly two full shifts of workers or a small hospitality team.
Tour Flexibility: Large enough for a tour guide and 12-13 guests.
2026 Mid-Size Bus Rental Rates (15, 20, 22 Seater)
These rates include a Professional Driver, Fuel, and Tolls (Salik) for standard city use.

20-Seater: AED 10,500 – 13,000 per month
22-Seater: AED 12,000 – 15,500 per month
Key Differences in These Categories
15-Seater (The “Hiace” Class): Often used for high-frequency short trips. It is the most maneuverable and can enter almost all hotel basements and mall parking lots in Dubai and Sharjah.
20-Seater (The “Short-Base” Coaster): Provides a more “bus-like” feel with wider aisles than a van. It’s the preferred choice for guest shuttles between hotels and tourist sites like Global Village or Sharjah Central Market.
22-Seater (The “Standard” Coaster): The most popular “Minibus” in the UAE. It offers a higher roof and more robust AC, which is essential for longer trips to Jebel Jais (RAK) or the East Coast (Fujairah).
Important 2026 Booking Notes:
Airport “Meet & Greet”: For arrivals at DXB or SHJ, a parking fee of AED 235 (standard for buses) is usually added to the base transfer rate.
Out-of-Town Surcharge: If you are based in Dubai and traveling to Fujairah or RAK for a day trip, expect a flat surcharge of AED 150–250 to cover the extra fuel and driver’s long-distance allowance.
Night Shift: Any duty starting after 10:00 PM or ending after 2:00 AM may incur a “Night Shift” premium of 15%.

Why These Routes Require Special Pricing
Mountain Driving (Hatta & Khorfakkan): Routes through the Hajar Mountains require experienced drivers and vehicles with well-maintained braking and cooling systems.
Increased Mileage: A round trip from Dubai to Al Ain or Khorfakkan easily exceeds 300+ KM, which is double the standard city-tour limit (usually 150 KM).
Border Crossings (Hatta): While most travelers use the main UAE roads, drivers must be familiar with the correct routes to avoid Omani exclave checkpoints unless the group has the required visas/permits.
Popular “Stop-Over” Suggestions for Our Clients
To add value to your service, we offer these popular sightseeing stops included in the full-day rate:
Hatta: Hatta Dam (Kayaking), Heritage Village, and Hatta Wadi Hub.
Al Ain: Jebel Hafeet Mountain, Al Ain Zoo, and Al Jahili Fort.
Khorfakkan: The Resistance Monument, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, and Shees Park.

Specific Route Considerations for 2026
Al Ain “The Garden City”: While the roads are flat, the distance is significant (approx. 140km from Dubai). Rates usually include a stop at Jebel Hafeet, but ensure your driver is comfortable with mountain-incline driving for the 50-seater coaches.
Hatta & Khorfakkan: These routes involve significant mountain terrain.
30-Seater Coasters are highly recommended for Hatta due to their agility on winding roads.
50-Seater Luxury Coaches (Yutong/King Long) are better suited for Khorfakkan via the newer, flatter Sharjah-Khorfakkan highway.
Kalba: Located just south of Khorfakkan, Kalba trips often include a visit to the Mangrove Center. Rates are typically identical to Khorfakkan prices.
Standard 2026 Surcharges & Policies
Additional Hours: For long-distance trips, overtime is typically AED 100/hr for Coasters and AED 150/hr for large coaches.
Border Permits: For Hatta trips, ensure the vehicle has the correct “Oman/UAE border” clearance if the route passes through any international checkpoints (though most modern routes stay within UAE territory).
Driver Gratuity: While not mandatory, it is customary in 2026 to provide a meal or a small tip (AED 50–100) for drivers on 10-hour inter-city mountain trips.
